PAINTINGS OF ALBERTO D’ASSUMPÇÃO
More poet than politician or sociologist, the philosophic Plato, 2500 years ago, saw the world as a reminiscent aspect of a universe of the ideas and forms, the unique consistency of the real.
The spirit entity for the existence was the absolute (unlimited) contemplation of the Universe, whose archetypes pure, static, and permanent shaped themselves, approachable and accessible in the dimension with which the intellect organized itself with them in knowledge and harmony.
In the extent of this myth (legend) of the classic idealism, I feel the Abstracts of Alberto D’assumpção. As a kind of flowing, their serenity tells us the metaphysics of the Universes in peace.
This spiritual contemplation of the spirit and the archetypes we can feel and see in these Abstracts is a visual projection of the unlimited and at the same time of our humanity.
As a self-confidence indication of this painter, the color, so typical, is established as a thematic evolution in each of his paintings.
So, the aesthetics organization of this painter Alberto D’assumpção uses the oniric combination and fascination that is proper of the contemplative status.
Besides, we can see an associate at the archetypical mite the mechanics and regulating ordination of the planetary spheres, the genial modernity of Newton. It is the mystery, the geometry, the controlled space.
All painting is a printed picture of things and ideas. Alberto’s father, the great painter Manuel D’assumpção, said that images are not Painting. We can understand this thinking of the history of the Abstract.
All the artists and visionaries give prominence to everyday, social, metaphysic dramas of existence, constantly feeling liberty. All art forms of the Abstract have the universal inexpressive and cosmic spirit looking for his presence.
It seems to happen with Plato, the philosopher whose friends called the divine, it seems it also happened the same in the paintings of Alberto D’assumpção, the classical revival in the Abstract of the mite of Felicity.
